From Peter (Christine VanDerwill’s brother), following from afar with awe & admiration…
1) photos of the journey remain incredible in all regards
2) your conviction & determination is admirable
3) your spirt, inspiring
In terms of leaving your bike behind & riding the last few hundred miles to the “end” in Ushuaia . . . I’d call it Romantic. You may have been on your own bikes almost every mile, but never alone by any stretch of the imagination. What matters is that you make it together, by any means necessary.
Going the distance together sure beats being left behind ; )
Peace. Love. Understanding.
Love it all! This trip is one for the ages. There are many other (dubious/foolish) ways to “spend retirement money”. You are never going to forget this one. Great investment you are making in your lifetime. Keep it coming. Thank you! Ray Effertz (Christine and Peter’s dad)

Thank you Peter! So awesome to read this after a long, tough day of riding into Ushuaia. With both bikes!
