On Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016, I did a presentation of mine and Dave’s first year in the saddle thus far at Vancouver BMW Ducati. It was a super night of laughs and reminiscing with a great turn out of over 60 people. Not all attendees were motorcycle enthusiasts, which was even better!
Dave took two days off working in Seattle to come up for the event. It was an asset to have him there to answer all the ‘technical’ questions about gear and bike modifications that I just… well, let’s face it, don’t really get.
Thank you to our friend Ismail (Ride About), who took the following photos of the evening and to Kelly and Brett at Vancouver BMW, who were a great help in setting up and promoting the event. Can’t wait to come back and present the second half.
There were some requests for me to post the presentation online. While I don’t think adding the whole thing will make sense to most without the commentary (how do I account for the photo of me without pants, for example), I have added a list of some resources Dave and I have used prior to and while on our trip that we’ve found helpful on our Resources page.
As well, we have a fun new RFC Stats page, which will give you some insight into some facts, like how many tires we’ve gone through and how many times I have dropped my bike. You can find this info on our RFC Stats page here.
